Angryciscoguy v2

Monday, April 12th, 2010

I haven’t posted much lately. It’s been a crazy time. New job, new position, and a new project that should keep me busy for a few years. Lots of exciting stuff to keep me busy in posts for the next few months. UC8 is on the doorstep with lots of changes, SAF, UCCX8 on Linux, Rapid Deployment Tool, VPN Phone firmware, just to name a few. I have a few labs in progress that I hope to document and post as well: UCCM to Exchange 2010 as the voicemail, MS OCS with SIP Integration and CUCI-MOC, and 3rd Party SIP Phones with UCCM.  On top of all of this, there is UCS which is going to not just change the datacenter, but UC design is going to be greatly effected. I’m very excited to see where all of that is going. And … between all of this there will be plenty of angry moments thrown in as well.

Want to easily search Cisco or it’s subsites such as the Bug ID or command lookup tool without going to cisco.com? Then simply add Cisco search to your browser search bar. Works in IE and Firefox on both Mac and PC. Find out the details here.

IPExpert BLS Voice

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

Just ordered my IPExpert BLS Voice. Sofar, everything I’ve seen and heard has been promising. I’m a little concerned on the flexibility of the training due to the copyright security in place. What I’ve heard sofar, it seems that you must be online to open any of the training which could be a little troublesome when sitting in a airport without wifi. I’ll know more in a few days when it arrives and continue commenting on the experience.

How many times have you wished you could see the screen of the phone of the user you were supporting remotely. Check these guys out. They have a neat product for assisting with remote support to Cisco IPPhones. They have a couple of other neat tools as well.

A Beginning…

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

This is a start to a blog that i hope will be a funny yet technically fullfilling blog around Cisco technologies. I bring to the table over 10years of working in IT and the experience, attitude, and techi’ness associated. In my day job I primarily work with Cisco Voice (UC) technologies, but I also do a good bit of R/S and Security. Along with this, I am working on the LAB portion of the Cisco Voice IE certification. I hope to log some of that process on this page beween ofcourse some of the main content.
